The Union of Heroes! In early 2007 the idea for a team of superheroes from Germany was developed.
And it didn’t take long till a matching title was found.

Where else could we place the cradle of our Union of Heroes than in the Ruhr Area? This is where we live and work,
this is where we know our stuff, this is where the first stories had to take place.

Right from the beginning Jens Sundheim was our photographer (except Interlude 1, Short story 1, the first 20 pages of Episode 5 and the interruption of Episode 6). Just a few days later Eric Wuensche joined the project and became my partner in crime and business – for more than a year. Patrick Soeder delivered his illustration for this webpage and Judith Gagliardi designed the first superhero suit. And then the real fun started: Casting the actors and producing the first episode! Seeing, how a spontaneous idea developed into such a project, with a growing readership and more and more people who seem to enjoy what we produce – for me it is a dream come true!

So please: Disregard for a moment that this is a comic! Ignore the fact that it is a photographed one!
And don’t be surprised that our heroes experience their adventures here in Germany – and not in America, England,
France, Japan or where else they usually do!

Please close your eyes for a moment and imagine what it would be like: Superheroes!
In the Ruhr Area! I would like to tell you their stories. And I am certain you will like them.
So, draw the curtain: The time has come for new heroes! Welcome to the Union of Heroes!
