Arne Schulenberg studied communications design at the Fachhochschule Dortmund. In the starting days of the project he only functioned as the art director of the Union of Heroes. Since October 2008 after the retirement of Eric Wünsche he supervises the whole project on his own. Arne reads and collects comics since he was a little child (he is strongly addicted). He bought the german version of Scott McClouds "Understanding Comics" the same day he applied for his studies with a comic portfolio. He started his thesis in the year "Reinventing Comics" was published. And he started working on Union of Heroes shortly before the release of "Making Comics". Most of the time Arne is busy creating new heroes or villains, preparing stories, layouts or other contents for Union of Heroes. In his spare time he hangs out with his wife, his little son and the rest of his family, reads other webcomics or plays board games with his friends.

Eric Wünsche studied economics at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. When the project started he was the head of marketing and sales of the Union of Heroes and responsible for the business idea. After the official online-start in the end of april 2008 he stayed with the project for some more months. Then Arnes and Erics business relationship came to an end and Eric turned to a new direction.
